A Call for Volunteers: Piloting A Faith and Film Workshop
The great film critic Roger Ebert called movies an “empathy machine” and we think he was onto something. A good movie (or a bad one!) can provide a glimpse into someone else’s life or someone else’s way of seeing the world. And this is why it’s also important to think about the movies we watch. What are we empathizing with and how? How are the filmmakers making us feel a certain way? What can we learn from the film?
That’s why Interfaith Photovoice is excited to offer our first ever film themed workshop! Using the same discussion methods you’ve encountered in previous IFPV workshops, we look forward to hosting a one hour workshop on Alex Garland’s Civil War (now streaming on Max).
The workshop will meet November 12th at 5 PM EDT. If you’re interested in being part of this pilot workshop, please RSVP here.
